Who We Are

I grew up in Rajasthan. In my childhood, I was surrounded by the vibrant colours and opulence of Jaipur, the Pink City, where rosy-hued domes and rooftops lit up with the morning sun. Some of my earliest memories are of wandering through bustling Johari and Bapu Bazaars with my family, brushing past stalls overflowing with hand-printed fabrics, or watching artisans at the Amber Fort carefully press wooden blocks into fabric, each impression carrying centuries of knowledge and devotion. These occasional encounters left me with a deep admiration for the patience, skill, and soul woven into Indian textiles.

That is the reason why I founded Sugam Home Textiles. It was born from this heritage and a desire to share it beyond the Indian borders. Sugam's mission is to bring the warmth, artistry, and spirit of Indian households into Dutch homes.

Every piece in our collection is handcrafted by skilled artisans in India, using techniques passed down through generations. No two textiles are ever identical, each carries the unique rhythm of the hands that made it. We curate these works with care, ensuring they complement the clean, minimalist aesthetic of Dutch interiors while preserving the richness of Indian design traditions.

Inspired by the vibrant traditions of Rajasthan and the timeless skill of artisans, we seek to give heritage a new place in contemporary living.

Through our curated collections such as cushions, hand bags, pouches, and home textiles crafted with techniques like block printing, weaving, and embroidery, we not only celebrate India's artistry but also create meaningful bridges between tradition and modern design.

By working directly with artisan communities in India, we support livelihoods that have been sustained for generations, while offering Dutch families sustainable, soulful textiles that carry stories of culture, care, and connection.
